Colored Lenses

I walk alone, I look wide  far;
The world is blue & truly par,
I cross the fence & sprint towards the setting sun,
Still the world seems so very blue,
And just this feeling that its not true,
I stop a while & realise,
That I ve been a fool all this while,
Then I take off my little colored lenses,
My lil colored lenses........

Enigma

A mystery of sorts,
a discovery awaited,
an angel or demon:
still to be noted.
An enigma with reason,
an intrigue without any,
if fire were cool,
it might not be a treason.
Silent compassion,
shy reluctance,
if all these are fun,
just lose all caution.
A secret untold,
a desire unkempt,
an affair or not:
passion might unfold.

An engima, a puzzle or whatever you call it,
it remains unsolved and waits for an answer......

Lust

Those nerves of strength running through his hand,
those muscles pulling hard,
like metal over rubber they complement,
like water and oil they rarely blend,
those limbs of a man and that speed of an animal,
those hard stares and fierce attitudes,
that strength and the power,
that silent demeanor which makes one hover,
they pull apart and command;
they call unto and demand;
like a rabbit in its burrow: just stuck but not scared,
like a horse in a race with a handsome face,
all these and many more, noticed but yet untold,
all of it relished in thoughts: seemingly quite bold,
Some like it, but not bare,
Some fear it, but fear is thrill,
Its hidden, if under a hood,
If its lust its quitely understood.........

Primates

One of the best spiritual entourages I ve been to has been to a hill temple at Shollingur...Its marvellous and scenic. Both peaceful and exciting at the same time. The story goes that inorder to cool down after killing Hiranyakashyap, Lord Narasimha came to the main hill and rested in yogic posture at its peak.Alongside there is another smaller hill where Lord Hanuman is in a similar posture. It is proved that the line of sight between the two idols match perfectly as if one were teaching the other....!
I climbed a total of 1308 steps up the first hill, and 805 steps up the second hill : all in a matter of hours :P...I guess some divine force was at work ;)
But the best part of this journey were the monkeys all around...I ve captured some exciting clicks: some of which I treasure the most...Check them out :)

My destination!!

Now my journey:

Chalo lets have breakfast !

We two ours one :P!!

Oh...please wake up for the family pic atleast :P!!

I wont share... :/

Down the rocky hill!!

Introspection: life is long and tough!

Wake up dad!!

Should I say 'Cheese' or 'banana'??

Planning...
Now he escapes...
Still a long way!

Part of nature...

Oh this breeze :) and that monkey :P!
Is it a movie?

Back down...a panoramic view!

The path....... :)

Have a nice day!

My Grandpa

There he was, teasing me every time I made a silly mistake.
He was always around to pull my sister's legs.
He was an ocean of sporting knowledge: be it cricket, football, tennis or anything in the world.
He was my first Mathematics teacher.
He helped me with the most critical times of my life : admissions, decisions and all...
He took immense pride in me and my achievements, however trivial....
He held my head when my ears were pierced as a child, his shoulder was my pillow and his words my command....
He had a funny way of expressing love, like all men; he never admitted his love but showed immense care...
I love him and would miss him dearly...Now,I am left with memories of long hours of playing non-stop Monopoly with him, his smiling face and his endearing personality and so much more,
My grandpa has lived his life, a full circle of struggle and success, of sorrow and surprise, of joy and jest......

This poem is for him.......

As tear drops silently trickle they wipe off the scars of unsaid words and unexpressed love,
The light wind and the bright azure sky brings with it a message of love and care,
Unveiling the flavours of a life, lived upto its brim and with only joy to share,
You lie there and right here in my heart as a part of my existence,
Those evenings of pleasant rendevous and chess matches,
Those afternoons of heavy lunch and non-stop games,
Those early morning walks in the company of birds,
You have given me those and many more,
To you and to all those who love me I truly belong and through me you shall live long.......

From here to there......

From here to where is this road leading...
An oasis of fun is something awaiting,
From here to where is this road leading...
Patience and perseverance is just fast fading,
To that mountain from where success hails,
Somewhere between the clouds of hope and hardwork,
In nature's eye I find a rather gentle smirk,
To that valley and beyond we shall go and explore,
From here to there this road will lead,
And there our aspirations will finally be freed,
From here to there this road will lead,
And there we can rest and recollect every deed......
And realise what we have gained indeed.....

A rather strange poem isn't it? Now there are several ways of interpreting this poem...The road could be a metaphor for life itself or some long journey...

But a twisted interpretation:
In a way this road also symbolises a collective picture of decisions we take in our life...These decisions take us somewhere but we do not know the destination.
Here when we are young the decisions are marked by fast fading patience and a yearning for fun.....
But our eagerness to succeed keeps us going.
That final destination (our picture of success) may be good or bad but it is clouded with hope and the need for hardwork. These positive clouds maintain our curiosity to continue this journey of decision making.
And as we go about it we will find many people or say nature in general mocking at us, but we still maintain the desire to explore success in its complete form (peaks, valleys and beyond).
When we near the end of the road our aspirations are lost/attained(as you wish to associate). We can then finally sit and recollect these decisions when we are old and ripe.We would then realize that the strenuous journey was more fun than the destination!!!

A thank you poem

Its been really long since my last post....my blogs starving for content except for the ever-changing goofy ads that might show up without warning :)....Now finally I ve overcome my long post-holiday laziness to come on board and do some chit-chatting or rather some poetry reciting: whatever suits my mood!

Now I was comfortably huddled in an armchair besides a crackling camp-fire under a moonlit sky in a village somewhere near coorg called kutta (dont take the hindi translation of the name :P there are very few stray dogs there)..........Its amidst thick forests with well known sanctuaries such as Nagarhole and Wayanad wildlife sanctuary.....After my unfruitful attempts of spotting a tiger on my safari over the whole day, I just wanted to chill with little or no company....But I had amazing company of hot mouth-watering bhajjiyas of mirchi, onion etc...And this was accompanied by general discussion of current affairs or other irrelevant topics ( irrelevant to my current affairs :P)........The lonely but huge mansion called Bison Manor stood menancingly still in the night light.......

A lonely walk around the backyard inspired me to write a poem and here it is:

To the shining moon I say a word, then I whistle a song of a bird,
To the velvet blanket far up above, the countless stars and the moving cloud,
To the flickering fire feeding alone, like a hungry soul tasting bones,
To the crickets chirping really shrill, as if we can't hear it still,
To the cool breeze that blows my hair and whispers sweet nothings everywhere,
To the tickling chill that curls my toes and makes me pull my jacket close,
To the cheerful smile that everyone shares and those twinkling eyes with just no cares,
To all these things and everything more; I pay all my respects and a lot more,
Thank you-- O mother nature! Thy children - however naive, owe you a lot till we hit our grave.........
