From here to where is this road leading...
An oasis of fun is something awaiting,
From here to where is this road leading...
Patience and perseverance is just fast fading,
To that mountain from where success hails,
Somewhere between the clouds of hope and hardwork,
In nature's eye I find a rather gentle smirk,
To that valley and beyond we shall go and explore,
From here to there this road will lead,
And there our aspirations will finally be freed,
From here to there this road will lead,
And there we can rest and recollect every deed......
And realise what we have gained indeed.....
A rather strange poem isn't it? Now there are several ways of
interpreting this poem...The road could be a metaphor for life itself or some
long journey...
But a twisted interpretation:
In a way this road also symbolises a collective picture of
decisions we take in our life...These decisions take us somewhere but we do not
know the destination.
Here when we are young the
decisions are marked by fast fading patience and a yearning for fun.....
But our eagerness to succeed keeps
us going.
That final destination (our picture of success) may be good or bad
but it is clouded with hope and the need for hardwork. These positive clouds
maintain our curiosity to continue this journey of decision making.
And as we go about it we will find many people or say nature in
general mocking at us, but we still maintain the desire to explore success in
its complete form (peaks, valleys and beyond).
When we near the end of the road our aspirations are
lost/attained(as you wish to associate). We can then finally sit and recollect
these decisions when we are old and ripe.We would then realize that
the strenuous journey was more fun than the destination!!!
